I’m loving all the conversations I have been having recently with friends who are as dedicated to digging deeper as I am. It’s so refreshing and liberating to suddenly be able to see something with eyes of truth instead of it being hidden behind a veil of self-denial. So lovely to recognise what is true and to open my heart and lovingly and gently let it all in. And all the while those ‘lies’ and stories I uphold….no, they’re not … Continue reading
Being completely honest. I find it’s a truly sweet moment when I gain deeper insight into what I had been blind to before. Suddenly being able to see something I just couldn’t see and realising the implications of it. Realising that it was there right in front of my face but invisible to me because of the veil of denial I had pulled across it. Obscuring it conveniently from view. And such a bitter-sweet moment to realise that my projection … Continue reading
Just take a moment to pause and realise that every single thought you have, every single thing you say, every single thing you do has an effect on the universe, on your world. No exception. What a responsibility. A responsibility to be that pureness of heart, that pure awareness that you know you are and sometimes forget you are. Now that I know what I am, I have the responsibility to be that regardless of how chaotic my life sometimes … Continue reading
It’s amazing how quickly a month passes by. So here we are once again with the submissions for our Cosmic Web monthly challenge in February. Our group has its origins on Etsy but extends to other platforms, primarily Facebook, where we have a space to share ideas and exchange information. The Cosmic Web is a group of artisans with a spiritual basis who have come together to support each other in marketing our artwork and increasing visibility for our shops. … Continue reading
A few weeks ago I was inspired to start up a new spiritually based group for artisans on the Etsy website. Together with Star Breiter, my Silk and Stars partner, we opened the group and started to put out the call for other like-minded people. – as you read through this post, click on the photos to be taken to the artists’ pages. The group has a team presence on Etsy but also a day-to-day support on Facebook and the … Continue reading
We seldom get snow in the South West of England so when it does come, there is always great rejoicing. I’m talking about when it really falls…and stays. When we all woke up yesterday morning, there had been a huge delivery of snow overnight and when we pulled back the curtains, I truly jumped for joy. I got all dressed up for the cold, with layer after layer and then grabbed my camera before heading off down to the park … Continue reading
I had just taken my latest silks out of the vinegar solution I normally soak them in before starting my work on them and started to stretch them on my frames. I began to tune in to which colours I would be mixing together…. the first one was going to be a real earthy mix as it was for a client who had ordered a SilkandStars package. Intuitively it felt right for them to be having some purple blended in … Continue reading
Don’t pretend that it’s okay to just focus on the ‘good things’ that are happening in your life. Surrendering is about letting it all in. Just exactly as it is. Without trying to change anything. So you have a ‘bad day’. Let it in. And then there’s a ‘good day’. No difference. Let it in. Keep letting it all in. Your life is just unfolding. So let it get on with things. You don’t need to try and change anything. … Continue reading
I’ve come to realise that this is my 24/7 job so to speak. Remembering who or rather what I am. In every moment. Bringing my awareness to it again and again and again. Bringing my awareness within, deep within. Connecting with the tiny spark within. Or the tiniest little bit you know the truth of in your heart as John de Ruiter says. And not only knowing it is there but completely giving myself to it. Relating to it. Dancing … Continue reading
Many thanks to those of you who came and took part in the dvd giveaway described in my last post: Silk Painting DVD Giveaway Recently I launched my new mandala silk painting kit and dvd. To celebrate this I decided it would be fun to give away 2 of the dvds to 2 of you lovely people who have been following my posts and giving support. I originally decided to do the draw on Saturday but held back another two … Continue reading
