Remembering not to take it all personally

I was reminded again today not to take anything anyone else is doing personally. Not to take it on board. Not to take it to heart. Just let the other person do what they think they need to do, without me needing to go into self-defence.

It really doesn’t matter if one of my kids is bad tempered. It’s absolutely fine if my partner is in a bad mood. And it’s okay if one of my work colleagues slept really badly.

Whatever they are slinging around in their carelessness, it’s fine. It’s just the perfect opportunity for me to stay quiet and centred and respond with love to the part of them that is exactly the same.

And how lovely is it to meet in that space of love. Seeing the other fully for what they are. Regardless of how things may look on the surface.

Loving remembering not to allow taking anything personally to get in the way of heart meeting.

Very wise, Fiona, and I believe that is how God looks at us…He meets us where we are and loves us nonetheless.

Such an important thing to remember. It’s at the center of inner peace.
