Be Careful What You Ask For….You Might Just Get It (Part Two)

In Part One of this story I was looking at how we sometimes put things on our wishlist without taking enough care to ensure that we are precise in our instructions and then wonder why they manifest in the way they do. I just wanted to pick up that theme again and continue following some more thoughts that occurred to me.

Whenever I am asking for something to manifest in my life, I make the point of asking that it be for the highest good of all concerned to ensure that everything is divinely aligned. There is another element that I believe plays a large role in how the manifestation unfolds in my life. And that is to do with the magnitude of what I am asking for.

I know that I am one with the source of all creation and that the only thing that stops me from tapping into the infinite resources available to me is myself. Where there is no separation, there can be no lack of supply. And yet sometimes I simply forget that and lose my trust.

When I am asking for support to flow to me, I may ask for someone to step forward in whatever way is appropriate to help me out. However, I can never see the bigger picture and my mind is often unable to perceive of the wide range of possible solutions that are just waiting to reveal themselves. So what I do is, I ask for help in the form that I can imagine would help me and then say – ‘This or better’ and this allows the infinite wisdom of the universe to express itself in ways that I could probably never have imagined. And that’s when the fun begins.

Can you remember any times when you asked for something and expected it to appear in specific way. Then when it did come, you were blown away by what actually manifested? I feel such amazing gratitude in those moments and know for certain that I am being looked after.

It doesn’t always happen this way, does it? And that’s because of the vibrations we are sending out. I made a video a few weeks back called ‘A Question of Resonance’ in which I talked about how we can only attract those things into our lives that we resonate with. Everything in the universe is vibrating energy and the basic premise is that like attracts like.

So it makes sense that when you are feeling upset and angry, your energy is vibrating at a much lower frequency than when you are uplifted and joyous. And it is that lower energy that will attract similar things and experiences into your life.

It’s not impossible to turn things around and create a vibration within your energy field that will attract those things you are dreaming of. Simple activities such as taking a deliciously warm bath with essential oils, listening to beautiful, relaxing music, going for a walk along the shore or spending time with a close friend who inspires you can make such a difference and ensure your energy resonates with high vibrational things.

Just imagine every cell in your body bouncing about and lit up with joy and light. Think of what you can attract to yourself in this wonderful state. Doing things that relax you and wash away stress and worries brings about a change within you on cellular level that starts to send out new messages to the universe.

So just remember that when you are feeling low and upset, that this is only temporary. That your conscious choice to raise your energy level determines the experiences you will draw to you.

And that’s when the magic starts to happen.

When was the last time you experienced magical happenings in your life after you turned the corner and lifted your spirits? I’d love you to share with me here.

  1. Hi Fiona,

I love Grace’s story -very similar to mine! When I finally really knew who I wanted, it didn’t take too long and we are married now (I should have fine-tuned it a little though.. I left the cleaning and laundry part out 🙂 ).
Magic happens when we consciously start to discover and see what we had asked for and appreciate those things.

    Lovely post,

Wow, what can I say. I have been feeling really out of balance just lately with the cold virus and I read this article which helped me focus on other things. As a result after sketching some ideas, I have designed my very own mandala. This wasn’t exactly what I asked for I never imagined I would create a mandala. I asked for inspiration and the end result is amazing. I was even going to email my sketch, then calmed the excitement within and thought a comment would be fine. Still feeling poorly, but wearing a cheeky grin, eager to start painting : )

Great to hear from you Tina and wonderful to hear that you had inspiration to create a mandala. There’s the silver lining. Just going with what is and look what’s happened. It would still be nice to see what you have made. Maybe we’ll get to see it? I hope so. Thanks.

    Lovely Fiona,
When asking for a man in my life,
I asked for a millionaire who could show me London and a good time, he had to have a Porsche and lots of cash to spoil me with.
I got it about a month later, led a lavish lifestyle and then after a while realized what I hadn’t asked for…… a personality, a sense of humour and real style.
So I went back to the “box” I do and started again, now I have what I asked for!
Sometimes you have to get what you “think” you want , to know what you actually really want!
    Gratitude, Grace
    “Enjoy life gracefully”

I love the story about your man manifesting Grace. And you’re right. Every step helps along the way, doesn’t it? I’m so glad you refined it and manifested what you really want!
