I posted on Facebook a couple of days ago that I would love to create a space for all the cat lovers I know to come and share photos of their feline friends and tell us what is special about them.
So this space here is the start of the gallery.
I would love you to contact me and send me a photo of your cat as well as a description of him or her so that everyone else can join in the appreciation. I’ll be sure to add them here.
We’ll number them through as we go and see how the gallery grows. 🙂
So, to set the ball rolling, I have to share glorious Laksmi of course. And here she is:
(1) Fiona Stolze’s cat Lakshmi (Bristol, UK)-
Lakshmi is a beautiful tortoiseshell with the most amazing facial markings. She is so self-indulgent, full of purrs and loves to be pampered. A real goddess if you ask me. And a bit of a poser when the camera comes out. I’ve lost count of how often she has been displayed on my Facebook timeline. She also loves her comforts. The embodiment of luxury, true to her name. 🙂 And a real darling.
(2) Tina Lane’s cat Ziggy (Lytham St Annes UK) –
This is Ziggy. She is 8 & our oldest cat. She is quite a nervous cat and will come to you when she wants to be stroked! It’s not really her fault as we used to have a large tabby stray cat who bullied her quite a bit when she was a kitty.
(3) Tina Lane’s cat Tigga (Lytham St Annes,UK)
This is Tigga (aka Fattyarbuckle) 2yrs old & sister of Oscar. She likes to eat as often as possible & doesn’t like to explore to far from home, usually just staying within the garden. She likes to wind-up Ziggy quite alot too!. She also likes using our bannisters as scratching posts
(4) Tina Lane’s cat Oscar (Lytham St Annes, UK)
This is Oscar 2yrs old ~ my baby boy who I love to bits. He is a real character and loves to be fussed by everyone. He will follow me up the road just like a dog and even came trick or treating with us last year. He copies his sister with the bannister scratching and dotes on Charlie.
(5) Tina Lane’s cat Charlie (Lytham St Annes, UK)
This is Charlie he is 4yrs old. He is the most layed back cat of the bunch & will tolerate almost anything. He does like to greet us with his HELLO meow in the mornings and when he comes in.
(6 and 7) Don Baker’s cats Karma and Faith (Florida, US)
These are Karma and Faith – their bio is due any day now 🙂
(8) Imogen Ragone’s cat Puffkin (Wilmington, US) –
This is Puffkin. He’s a black and white “tuxedo” cat, who seems to have gathered quite a fan club on face book. He loves to climb into any small little spaces – boxes, bags, baskets, you name it! He’s very friendly, and likes to snuggle up close at night. He can be very silly, living up to his name!
(9) Imogen Ragone’s cat Tiger (Wilmington, US) –
This is Tiger, an orange tiger-stripe with beautiful golden eyes. He’s very sweet, but a bit nervous around strangers until he gets to know you. He’s very good at grooming his best friend, Puffkin, and has the strange, but endearing habit of carrying away can lids and putting them in his food bowl. I had to buy a special can opener to be sure of no sharp edges…
(10) Christine Sutherland’s cat (Phoenix, US) –
Christine Sutherland’s favorite cat Ginger (RIP). Ginger is a bit exhausted from keeping watch for animals in the yard, check out the critter looking for Ginger!
(the little guy in the window… 🙂 )
(11) Matt’s neighbour’s cat Bertie (Bristol, UK)
“Introducing Bertie! Otherwise known as Felix to his owners ~ hehe! ~ this handsome Tom Cat is a big softy smooch who comes to visit often! Especially when the neighbours go away for the weekend lol. He loves a good belly rub and purrs his way to heaven preferably with a space on your lap =)) mind those claws though as he starts to bliss out! He also understands reciprocity well and likes to lick you with his little sandpapery tongue whilst being petted, he’s a sweetie like that. We’ve shared many a giggle! Although I won’t be getting too attached to Bertie, my heart tells me he’s a bit of a floozy But you know what? I love him to pieces still! He brings a smile to my face every time he comes to say meow and life just wouldn’t be the same without him!! “
